Subject: Finding Hope in Times of Trials - Part 5
Be fearless in your faith all days, but especially on Fridays!
Good Morning Blessed & Encouraged Family!
We have arrived at our final day of exploring the theme of finding hope in times of trials, and it is our joy to embark on this journey with you once again. Today, we will draw inspiration from the remarkable story of Esther, a woman whose life teaches us the invaluable lesson of trusting God's timing. In the midst of uncertainty and danger, Esther discovered that she was positioned for a specific purpose, reminding us that even in the darkest moments, God is working behind the scenes for our deliverance.
Today’s message comes from Esther 4:14: "And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Esther's story unfolds in a time of great peril for her people. In this verse, her uncle Mordecai reminds her that her position as queen was not a mere coincidence, but a divine appointment. It speaks to the truth that God orchestrates events and positions us for a specific purpose. Like Esther, we are called to trust in God's timing, knowing that He can work through our circumstances for the ultimate deliverance and redemption.
Esther: Trusting God's Timing
Esther's life serves as a powerful example of trusting God's timing, even in the face of overwhelming challenges. As a young Jewish woman, she found herself in a position of influence as queen of Persia. When her people faced extermination, Esther was uniquely positioned to make a difference. But before she acted, she sought God's guidance, understanding the importance of His timing in her life.
Esther's story teaches us that there are moments when we may feel overlooked, insignificant, or unsure of our purpose. However, just as Esther was positioned for a specific time, we too are placed in our circumstances for a divine reason. Even in the darkest moments, God is at work behind the scenes, orchestrating events and preparing the way for our deliverance.
"God is working behind the scenes for our deliverance at all times, especially in the darkest moments."
- Rasheeda Lester
This quote beautifully encapsulates the essence of Esther's story. When we face trials and uncertainty, it is essential to remember that God is always at work, even when we cannot see it. He is working behind the scenes, aligning circumstances, and preparing a way for our deliverance. Our role is to trust in His timing and remain steadfast in our faith.
Relationships, Community, and Personal Growth
When we surrender to God's timing, it cultivates patience, humility, and a reliance on Him. It deepens our trust in His sovereignty, allowing us to let go of control and embrace His perfect plan. Our relationships flourish as we learn to walk in sync with God's timing, extending grace and understanding to others who may be in different seasons of life.
On a communal level, trusting God's timing fosters unity within the body of Christ. It reminds us that we are all part of a larger story, with interconnected purposes and timelines. As we trust in God's timing together, we support and encourage one another, knowing that He is orchestrating the grand tapestry of our lives for His glory and our collective good.
Personally, trusting God's timing leads to profound personal growth. It challenges us to confront our impatience and our desire for instant gratification. As we surrender to His timing, we develop patience, perseverance, and resilience.
Learning to Trust in His Timing:
1. Surrender your timetable: Release the need to control the timing of events in your life. Instead, surrender to God's perfect timing and trust that He is working all things together for your good.
2. Seek His guidance: In moments of uncertainty, seek God's guidance through prayer and His Word. Allow His wisdom to guide your decisions and actions, confident that He will direct your path in His perfect timing.
3. Encourage others in their waiting: Extend grace and encouragement to those around you who may be waiting for their own breakthroughs. Share stories of hope and faith, reminding them of God's faithfulness in His timing.
